Physical Theatre
Shape has meaning, and in this workshop students learn just how our bodies are constantly telling our stories. Expand your physical vocabulary as you tune into your body’s own instincts, push pass your idiosyncrasies, and examine the actor’s most basic tool.
Mask
This workshop presents the art of mask performance from neutral mask to character mask. Students learn the proper protocol for handling and donning a mask, the connection of the mask to the body, and the technical aspects of mask performance. Much is “unmasked” for the actor in this workshop such as an awareness of personal physical habits and inroads into character development.
Collective Creation
Do you and your students have an idea you’d like to see on stage? Supply the inspiration and I supply the direction. Together we build a piece of theatre that is a unique expression of your students.
Serious Play!
Imagination is unbridled and confidence discovered in this theatre game workshop. Through play and improvisation, your students learn to think outside of the box, offer creative solutions to problems, and work together as a team.
Tailored to grades 3-5, 6-8, or 9-12
